So far, Trump has swept every single party poll — even in South Carolina, where Nikki Haley served as governor — and it is generally considered a foregone conclusion by most political analysts that in November’s presidential election he will seek revenge on Democratic President Joe Biden.

Trump has secured 244 delegates at the party convention to his opponent’s 24, plus 19 more in Washington.

Hailey’s victory occurred two days before the so-called “Super Tuesday” (tomorrow March 5), a decisive day for the outcome of the race, as votes are held simultaneously in 15 states and one territory (in American Samoa). Nikki Haley has said she is determined to continue her effort at least until tomorrow.
