Upheaval before the Revenge of the Century: Shocking statement from Végh!

It’s coming. There are only a few hours left until the start of the most anticipated event of Czech and Slovak MMA in the form of the Octagon 58 tournament, which will take place in Prague’s Eden. The golden nail will be the duel between Karlos Vémola and Attila Végh (both 38), which is called the Revenge of the Century. And it was the latter who now came up with a shocking statement! What exactly did Végh say?

The date that Oktagon fans have circled in their calendars will be able to cross off this weekend. The rematch of the century between Karlos Vémola and Attila Végh will undoubtedly be the most watched event among combat sports in the country. The »Terminator« lost less than five years ago to the Slovak juicer, who knocked him out in the first round. The motivation to retaliate is thus taken care of. But even before the event itself, Végh surprised the public with his words.

Pro server sport.cz gave an interview in which, among other things, he talked about the topic of doping. “If it were to succeed, I can say that maybe up to ninety percent of the wrestlers in the Octagon would not pass doping tests. It’s just up to the organization,” Végh didn’t hold back. “If they did, it would be great and fair. Until then, we can only guess who is and who isn’t dumped.” he added.

What does Oktagon promoter Pavel Neruda say about this situation? According to him, one of the main problems is the financial side. “It’s not that it’s extremely complicated. One thing is that the tests are extremely expensive. It sometimes comes out to around twenty thousand euros per tournament. They would still test you for some spectrum of the most used substances, they wouldn’t catch everything,” Neruda commented to the website sport.sk. So we can only hope that the wrestlers will maintain the spirit of fair play. The match Vémola vs. Végh will take place on Saturday, June 8 from 11:30 p.m.
