Up in arms! 4 Referee Shen Yinhao’s Decisions Harm the Indonesian U-23 National Team

DOHA – The Indonesian U-23 national team failed to reach the final 2024 U-23 Asian Cup after losing 0-2 against Uzbekistan U-23. There were at least 4 referee decisions. There were at least 4 decisions made by the referee from China, Shen Yinhao, which were considered detrimental to Garuda Muda.

Competing at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Qatar, Monday (29/4/2024) evening, the U-23 Indonesian National Team set a target of winning. 2. Not giving a penalty after Witan Sulaeman was dropped

Netizens on social media really highlighted the performance of referee Shen Yinhao who was considered not neutral. The field referee has apparently been under the spotlight of netizens since the first half where he did not award a penalty when Witan Sulaeman was brought down in the forbidden box.

3. Kartu Kuning Shin Tae-yong

Apart from that, the referee also gave a yellow card to Shin Tae-yong who was standing on the sidelines. This series of decisions is considered detrimental to the U-23 Indonesian National Team.

4. Rizky Ridho’s Red Card

At its peak, referee Shen Yinhao sent off Indonesian U-23 National Team captain Rizky Ridho with a red card in the 86th minute. Rizky Ridho is considered to have committed a serious offense by kicking Uzbekistan captain Abdurauf Buriev in the genitals. In fact, in the slow broadcast Rizky Ridho is seen sweeping the ball.
