One of his party members said that Ali Insanov will participate in the extraordinary parliamentary elections to be held this summer. According to him, despite being 80 years old, the former minister, who has never given up on his political ambitions, is trying to overcome the legal hurdle he is facing. Thus, the current legislation does not allow a person with a conviction to participate in parliamentary elections.
Ali Insanov is trying to remove this obstacle before the official start of the parliamentary elections.
According to our information, there is a preliminary agreement on his participation in the election marathon. It is not excluded that the former minister may win a mandate in the extraordinary parliamentary elections.
According to the member of the party, certain obligations will be imposed on Ali Insanov after being represented in the parliament. Although he represents the opposition in the Milli Majlis, he will regularly speak from the government’s position.
It is reported that Insanov will start a war against his former comrades-in-arms by dressing up as a “constructive opposition”. But his main “duty” will be to declare “war” on European institutions as a former political prisoner.
