Ukraine continues its offensive operations alongside Bakhmut and Russia attacks a refinery with drones

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their counteroffensive around the occupied city of Bakhmut, while consolidating the positions recovered in recent days in this area of ​​the front, according to today’s report from the Kiev General Staff.

For their part, Russian troops are trying “without success”, according to the military statement, to retake the town of Andrivka, south of Bakhmut, which was liberated last week by Ukrainian forces.

On the southern front, the General Staff has reported Russian attacks near Mala Tokmachka, Robotine and Novodanilivka, in Zaporizhzhia province, which “resulted in significant losses in men and equipment for the occupiers.”

At the same time, Ukraine continues to conduct offensive operations in the direction of the occupied city of Melitopol, the largest in Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia.

On the other hand, Kiev forces continue to destroy Russian weapons with counterbattery fire in the southern province of Kherson, where they have also destroyed supply depots and “successfully attack behind enemy lines.”

From the air, the Ukrainian Air Force has reported that Ukrainian defenses intercepted 17 of the 24 Shahed kamikaze drones launched by Russia last night, but some of them hit an oil refinery in the Poltava region (center) that had to interrupt its activity due to the damage suffered.

The interceptions occurred over the regions of Sumi (northeast), Poltava, Kirovograd (center) and Dnipropetrovsk (southeast).

The downed drones were hit in the air by missiles launched from the ground or from airplanes and by mobile patrols of the Ukrainian Army, according to the Air Force.
