Uğur Taşdemir was sent off on his final journey

Cengiz ÇOBAN-İsa ALMAÇAYIR/ ISTANBUL, Actor and voice actor Uğur Taşdemir, who dubbed many Hollywood stars in Turkish, was laid to rest with a funeral ceremony held at the Moda Mosque. Taşdemir’s funeral prayer was held after the midday prayer and he was laid to rest at the Başıbüyük Cemetery. Taşdemir (58), who was receiving treatment in intensive care for 2 months, was known to the public as the ‘voice of Nicolas Cage’.

Voice actor and voice artist Uğur Taşdemir, who had been receiving intensive care treatment for about 2 months, passed away the other day. Taşdemir was sent on his final journey after a funeral ceremony held at the Moda Mosque in Kadıköy. His wife Özgün Taşdemir and son Uğur Barış Taşdemir accepted condolences at the funeral. Uğur Taşdemir’s family, loved ones and colleagues attended the funeral. His wife Özgün Taşdemir cried for a long time at the coffin. Actor and voice artist Uğur Taşdemir’s funeral was held at the Moda Mosque after the noon prayer and then laid to rest in the Başıbüyük Cemetery.

“MY WIFE HAS BEEN UNCOMFORTABLE FOR 2 MONTHS”

At the funeral, Taşdemir’s wife Özgün Taşdemir and son Uğur Barış Taşdemir accepted the condolences. His wife Özgün Taşdemir said, “My wife was ill for 2 months. Unfortunately, she lost her life.” His son Uğur Barış Taşdemir said, “My father used to tell me to love people, love yourself. He was very successful in his job. I am proud of him and I love him very much.”

“HE WAS A VERY VALUABLE ACTOR AND VOICE”

Actor Levent Can, who attended the funeral, said, “My condolences to all his loved ones, I wish patience to his relatives and loved ones. He was a very valuable actor, a very valuable voice. He was the voice of the leading actors in foreign films. They were also left without an owner. His loved ones were also left without an owner. We too lost a valuable friend, we too were left without an owner. He was a very good person, first of all. I am sorry. Like many of his loved ones, I am also very sorry. My condolences.”

Actor Ali İhsan Bozdemir said, “He was one of the important speakers and important actors of Turkey. He was a valuable person of his profession.
