UEFA issued a statement regarding the European Championship to be held this summer.
Publika.az UEFA said that security will be the main priority for the organizers. The agency also noted that they are cooperating with German authorities and law enforcement agencies to develop appropriate security mechanisms:
“Security at the 2024 European Championship is a top priority for UEFA and the German authorities. Therefore, our organization works closely with relevant authorities and partners to develop appropriate and reliable mechanisms to ensure the safety of all tournament participants. We are sure that all necessary measures will be taken.”
Some sources said that UEFA was forced to issue such a statement after being warned about the threat of terrorism in a number of countries, especially in France, which will host the Summer Olympic Games.
It should be noted that the final stage of Euro-2024 will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14. The games of the tournament will be hosted by 10 stadiums in 10 cities.
