Bad surprise for Yves Sedrick Rakotoarisoa and Jean-François Daniel Rakotondrainibe, known as Zigle. Barely arriving on French soil, the two Malagasy players were victims of a theft the evening of the next day, in Vaulx-en-Velin, near Lyon. Having left Madagascar with the hope of a new life and a sporting adventure within the Décines Pétanque Club, they went to the Carrefour Vaulx-en-Velin shopping center to buy basic necessities. During this short absence, their vehicle, parked in the parking lot, was broken into. The thieves took away all of their belongings: suitcases, clothes, personal effects and, above all, essential administrative documents. The club quickly reacted via social networks: “ Yves and Zigle have just arrived in France and went shopping when the car containing all their belongings was broken into. Suitcases, papers… everything was stolen. We are calling on your solidarity to help them settle in after these very difficult first steps in France”. Deprived of their belongings and valuable documents from their first hours in France, the two athletes found themselves in a delicate situation as they were to begin a new chapter in their careers. The club hopes that the mobilization of the community will transform this ordeal into a surge of solidarity.
