On July 5, in Quang Minh and Lang Thip communes (Van Yen district, Yen Bai province), two men’s bodies were found hanging.
Morning of July 6, talking to reporters People’s Intelligencethe leader of the People’s Committee of Quang Minh commune (Van Yen district) said that on July 5, the authorities received a report about a man who died by hanging.
That is Mr. Ly Van N. (born in 1984, in Quang Minh commune) who died by hanging on the hill behind his house.
According to local leaders, recently Mr. N. has shown signs of depression, often wandering and talking nonsense.
Through autopsy, authorities determined the victim committed suicide, with no signs of criminality.
Also on the morning of July 5, many people while working in the fields discovered Mr. Nguyen Van S. (born in 1980, in Lang Thip commune, Van Yen district) dead by hanging.
Upon receiving the information, local authorities arrived at the scene to protect it. Through an autopsy, authorities determined that Mr. S. died by suicide, with no signs of criminal activity.
The victims’ families also did not ask the authorities to investigate further, and asked to receive the bodies for burial.
