Two injured in knife attack in West Bank, attacker “neutralised” | Israel-Hamas war

Two people were slightly injured on Sunday in a stabbing attack carried out by a Palestinian who had been “neutralized” near an Israeli settlement in the West Bank, Israeli police and emergency services said.

The attack occurred near Mishor Adoumim, the industrial park in the large West Bank settlement of Maale Adoumim, east of Jerusalem, the sources said. The culprit was “neutralized”, police said without specifying whether he was dead or injured.

Emergency services announced that they had provided treatment at the scene to two slightly injured people, presented by Israeli media as security guards.

The occupied West Bank has seen a sharp increase in violence since the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip began on October 7. Since then, according to a tally by the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Health, at least 317 Palestinians have been killed there by soldiers, and in some cases by Israeli settlers.
