Two fishing boats anchored at Tinh Ky port (Quang Ngai City) caught fire at night. It is estimated that the fire caused about 1 billion VND in damage.
The fire occurred at 1:00 a.m. on February 28 at Tinh Ky fishing port (Tinh Ky commune, Quang Ngai city).
At that time, people discovered a fire on the fishing boat of Mr. Le Vu (43 years old) and Mr. Vo Van Thai (47 years old, both in Tinh Khe commune, Quang Ngai city).

The fire broke out very quickly, with the risk of spreading to dozens of fishing boats anchored nearby. People shouted and used firefighting equipment on the spot to put out the fire but failed.
Upon receiving the news, dozens of Fire Prevention and Fighting Police officers and soldiers were mobilized, along with specialized vehicles, to the fire scene to fight and prevent the fire from spreading. More than 30 minutes later the fire was controlled.
The fire caused Mr. Vu’s ship to have its entire cabin burned, and Mr. Thai’s ship to partially burn. The fire caused about 1 billion VND in damage.

Tinh Ky fishing port is where nearly 100 inshore fishing boats are anchored. This season, boats mainly fish for anchovies and flounder nets 10-20 nautical miles from shore.
