Two drones fell into Moldovan territory during a Russian attack against Ukraine –

Tonight, as a result of a massive attack with drones against the port of Reni, in Ukraine, two drones entered Moldova’s airspace. One of the drones has fallen to levels near the village of Khumai, in the Taraclian region, Moldova’s government reports this morning in its Telegram channel, quoted by BTA.

There were no casualties in the fall of the drone, which exploded when the ground impact. The area is torn apart and the competent authorities inspect the debris from the aircraft.

Another drone exploded in a field between Umbrella-Lunga and the village of Valya Perjei in the Taraclian region. The area is torn apart and operating groups operate on the spot.

Residents of Taraclia say they have heard explosions.

As a result of the Russian attack with drones against Reni in Ukraine, the activities of the Reni-Jurjuli Post was discontinued and all employees of the Moldovan side were evacuated to the village of Dzhurjuli. Several explosions have been reported in the period from 23.05 to 00.40, and Moldova’s Southern Department of Border Police have been reported. At 00.59, the air alarm in Ukraine was canceled. At 01.30, the activity of the Jurjuli-Rening Point was restored.

The Taraclian region (district) is located in the southern part of Moldova and includes 26 settlements, including two cities – Taraclia and Tvarditsa. According to the 2014 population census, about 40,000 people live in it, 66% of whom are ethnic Bulgarians. The area borders an autonomous territorial formation of Gagauzia, Kahul region and Odessa region of Ukraine.
