It is known that three children were born on November 30, 2004 to Golam Mostafa, a school teacher, and Arjina Begum, a housewife, of Bathuabari village in Sadar Union of Dhunat, Bogra. First Safiul Hasan Safi, after some time Mafiul Hasan Mafi and Rafiul Hasan Rafi were born. They have one more son and one daughter.
In 2009, Golam Mostafa, an assistant teacher at the local Mathapara High School, died of a heart attack. Children become orphans at the age of five. Mother Arjina Begum took all the responsibilities of children’s education and maintenance. Their wealth consisted of six bighas of land on the banks of the Bengali river left by her husband and some property from her father’s house.
Arjina Begum started selling property to give real education to her children. Apart from this, various private institutions also stood by them.
The three brothers passed secondary school from Dhunat Nabir Uddin Pilot High School. After that he passed higher secondary from Bogra Govt Shah Sultan College. Last year three meritorious brothers appeared in the medical college entrance exam. Mafiul Hasan was admitted to Suhrawardy Medical College in Dhaka. Having failed the first time, Safiul Hasan and Rafiul Hasan worked hard. This time, one from Dinajpur and another got admission in Noakhali Medical College.
Arjina Begum, a pregnant mother, said that her children became orphans at the age of five. They did not get the father’s affection and love. I have sold the property left by my husband and from my father’s house to pay for their education.
Proud of his children, he firmly says that he will sell whatever he has to make the boys doctors. I pray that the children can become doctors and serve the poor people.
Mafiul Hasan Mafi, who was admitted to Suhrawardy Medical College last year, said that three brothers have studied at Govt. Shah Sultan College from Messe in Bogura. Their mother sold the land with great difficulty and educated them. It is very nice to think that three brothers will become doctors together.
Safiul Hasan, who got an opportunity to get admission in Dinajpur Medical this year, said, I lost my father when I was a child. Mother took care of us. He would have been very happy if he had a father today. I want to pray that I can serve people as a doctor.
Rafiul Islam, who got the opportunity to get admission in Noakhali Medical College, said that he came to know about his father’s death due to heart disease when he grew up. That’s when three brothers vowed to study medicine. Today I want to serve poor people as a doctor.
Mubarak Hossain, a neighbor of the three brothers, said that the admission of the twins to the medical college is a matter of pride for the entire village. I pray that they become doctors and serve the poor people.
Tofazzal Hossain, head teacher of Uddin Pilot High School in Dhunat Nabi, said that the three brothers came to school on Monday (February 12), when their admission to the medical college was confirmed. They brought sweets and asked for blessings. It’s not just me because they’re admitted to medical; People of the whole area are feeling proud.
