The organizing committee of the Kianda International Short Film Festival (FESC-KIANDA), assured this week, in a press conference, that all the conditions have been created to hold the festival, which will have 24 competitors in this edition.

According to Vánio de Almeida, Director of the Festival, the project aims to encourage national production, promote films, create a mechanism for distribution and exchange of experience between CPLP creators.

As cinema is a collective art that brings together the most varied professions, it would be an added value for the Government to invest in this sector, which could generate several jobs and contribute to the diversification of the national economy.

Simão Paulino, head of marketing, invited national businesspeople and beyond, to associate their brands with national productions, which will allow them greater visibility.

Representing the Brilhante Foundation, Official Sponsor of the Festival, Etelvino Fialho, was delighted to be part of this national cinema festival.

In this second edition and for the first time, filmmaker Maria João Ganga, author and director of the film “Na Cidade Vazia”, will be honored.

FESC-KIANDA is the first international film festival that rewards short films produced from January to November each year. It is an event that is now in its second edition and includes the participation of CPLP films.
