TV 2 has decided to discontinue the entertainment program “Good Evening Norway”. Dagbladet reports it.
Last week it became known that TV 2 had achieved its target by downsizing 64 employees. Downsizing was carried out through voluntary schemes and internal transfers. In total, the media house has cut 120 man-years, including permanent, temporary employees, freelancers and consultants. The channel’s goal was to save NOK 400 million.
It does not extend the agreement
We have reached the end of the editorial “Good evening Norway”. After June, employees will be out of work, writes Dagbladet.
– The contract we have with the production company Mastiff to provide celebrity news to TV2.no expires this summer. As part of TV 2’s ongoing downsizing, we have decided not to renew the contract, TV 2 press manager Jan-Petter Dahl told the newspaper.
