TUSAŞ Became the First National Organization to Receive Innovation Management System Certificate

TUSAŞ became the first national organization to receive the TSE Innovation Management System Certificate in the aviation and space industry sector.

ANKARA – Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) successfully passed the conformity audits conducted by the Turkish Standards Institute and received the ‘TS EN ISO 56002 Innovation Management System’ certificate. TUSAŞ became the first national organization in the aviation and space industry sector to receive this certificate from TSE.

TSE President Mahmut Sami Şahin, TUSAŞ Chairman of the Board of Directors Ömer Cihad Vardan, TUSAŞ General Manager Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu and relevant authorities attended the certificate ceremony held at TUSAŞ’s central campus in Kahramankazan.

“We want to strengthen and develop our work in the field of defense industry”

Speaking at the certificate ceremony, Institute President Şahin said, “We are pleased to present the TS EN ISO 56002 Innovation Management System certificate to TUSAŞ, which is of great importance to us within our certification activities and is the first certificate we will issue in the defense industry field.”

Şahin, who emphasized that they have established a good cooperation with TUSAŞ and that this cooperation will set an example, said, “Today, TUSAŞ, the distinguished industrial defense organization of our country that manufactures the national combat aircraft, is now walking together with TSE. Collaborating with you also gives us strength. We want to strengthen and develop such works in the defense industry for the national interests of our country. We believe that the cooperation we have established with TUSAŞ will also set an example for our other main manufacturing organizations.”

“Our work with TSE will continue”

TUSAŞ Board Chairman Vardan also stated that their cooperation with TSE will continue in the upcoming process and said, “As a result of our previous cooperation with TSE, we received the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certificate and achieved a first in our sector in Turkey. Now, we are achieving another first by receiving the Innovation Management System certificate. We would like to thank all our colleagues on behalf of our TSE President.”

TUSAŞ General Manager Demiroğlu said that it was a source of pride to be the first organization to receive the Innovation Management System certificate in the Defense Industry field. Demiroğlu said, “We attach great importance to innovation. We know that innovation will play a very important role in our future. Innovation needs to be nurtured in order to develop ideas within the organization, to make our human resources more effective and productive, and to increase productivity. We are very pleased that TSE is taking the lead in this regard.”

Following the speeches, TSE President Mahmut Sami Şahin presented the TS EN ISO 56002 Innovation Management System certificate to TUSAŞ Chairman of the Board Ömer Cihad Vardan and TUSAŞ General Manager Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu.
