Turkish Architect Presents Award He Won in Italy to Palestine

Turkish architect İbrahim Halil Tuğbay left behind 40 thousand designs at the A’ Design Award and Competition 2024 to receive the Spatial Design Award with his project ‘Şükrü Dudu Barber’s Club’. The architect dedicated the A’ Design award, which represents extraordinary design excellence, to Palestinian children.

The A’ Design Award and Competition 2024 award ceremony, which highlights the talents of the design world by rewarding innovative and extraordinary designs every year, took place on July 18 at the 211-year-old opera house Teatro Sociale di Como in Italy. Leaving behind 40 thousand designs at the ceremony, the Şükrü Dudu Barber’s Club project, brought to life by Architect İbrahim Halil Tuğbay, was deemed worthy of the Spatial Design Award.

HE DEDICATED HIS AWARD TO PALESTINIAN CHILDREN

İbrahim Halil Tuğbay stated that the design competence was crowned with the A’ Design Award, which represents extraordinary design excellence, and said the following in his speech at the award ceremony:

“I am very honored and happy to receive this prestigious award. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this achievement. I would like to dedicate my award to the children of Palestine who have to pay the cruel price of war. The hardships and suffering they experience remind us of how great and important justice and peace are for humanity and the future of the world. I hope that this award will amplify the unheard voices of children amidst the deafening war,” he said.
