For her part, the secretary of epidemiology, Rita Ivanovich He indicated that “we have been looking at data at a national level, such as dengue, for example, it has been 18 weeks of decline in the curve, but well, we have to consider that there are certain provinces that have reported the persistence of viral circulation. This is the case of Formosa and Chaco, therefore, in relation to our province, we have not detected any positive cases for 7 weeks now, but logically we continue with surveillance and it is essential to take into account, above all, people who come from the NEA region, especially these jurisdictions that we mentioned before. In relation to respiratory diseases, at a national level, what can be seen is that both bronchiolitis and influenza-type illnesses present a notification within what is expected for the time of year and in the province of Tucumán we can observe the same situation, in any case we have to consider that both the respiratory syncytial virus, which is the one that causes bronchiolitis, and the influenza virus continue to circulate, therefore it is important to continue with preventive measures”.
