The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Monday that he will impose a 100% tariff on all films produced outside the territory of his country.
“Our film business has been stolen from the US by other countries, like candy being stolen from a baby,” the president wrote on his Truth Social account.
«California, with its weak and incompetent governor, has been especially hard hit! Therefore, to solve this long-standing and incessant problem, I will impose a 100% tariff on all films produced outside the United States,” he reported.
«Thank you for your attention to this matter. “Let’s make America great again!” concluded the American president in his publication.
Trump’s new tariffs are part of the White House’s strategy of conditioning access to the US market for the relocation of factories in its territory. For the president, these types of pressures are necessary to “protect” American industry from foreign competition and increase domestic manufacturing.
