Trump spoke at the farewell ceremony for American activist Charlie Kirk

Donald Trump attended the farewell ceremony for Charlie Kirk, Liter.kz reports with reference to ABC News.

During the ceremony, the US President was constantly behind a bulletproof podium. The memorial service was held at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

Trump said the nation is in grief, shock and sadness.

“Our country was robbed of one of the smartest people of our time. A giant of his generation. And most importantly, a devoted husband, father, Christian and patriot. Charlie Kirk was killed by a radicalized, cold-blooded monster,” Trump said.

Tens of thousands of people reportedly filled an Arizona stadium to honor Charlie Kirk, whom President Donald Trump and others have called a “martyr.”

“I know I speak for everyone here today when I say that none of us will ever forget Charlie Kirk, and neither will history,” Trump said.

Recall that Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 during a speech at the University of Utah. Accused murderer Tyler James Robinson was arrested the next day. Donald Trump expressed hope that he would be found guilty and sentenced to death.
