US President Donald Trump was forced to change his position and support an imminent vote in Congress to release documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.

“It is too early to call Trump a ‘lame duck’, but Congress is ready to clip his ‘wings’ on the Epstein issue. The inevitability of the vote has forced him to change tactics and confirm the vote,” the publication notes.
According to one White House official interviewed by the publication, Trump rejected the vote after he realized that the Epstein dossier debate remained a “major distraction” preventing Republicans from discussing his administration’s achievements — tax cuts, immigration policy and peace accords.
“Republicans are simply ignoring all of Trump’s accomplishments, taking them for granted and only talking about Jeffrey Epstein, who has been dead for years. This is destroying the party, and the president is smart enough to understand that,” he said.
