Truck overturns spectacularly after a car invaded its lane

A man was rescued after he lost his balance and fell into a cliff more than 20 meters deep, however he died in the hospital.

According to the report, the victim, apparently drunk, was returning home on Saturday night, but when he was going through the area he took a wrong step, causing him to fall into the ravine.

The rescue occurred this Sunday morning in the Rastro del Río hamlet, in the district of Tonacatepeque.

Locals alerted lifeguards about what happened and that due to the man’s injuries he could not get out on his own.

Rescuers from Rescue Commands, the Green Cross and Civil Protection worked together to remove the victim from the bottom.

They stabilized him and later with ropes, stretchers and other equipment they took him to dry land. In this regard, the Commandos explained that the area was difficult to access and they walked about 30 minutes to the ambulance.

“Institutions of the National System carried out vertical rescue of a person who fell into a ravine,” said Civil Protection.

Finally, they took him to a hospital center with multiple traumas where he lost his life in the emergency room, the emergency services confirmed.
