The circulation of the tropical depression combined with high-altitude wind convergence caused heavy rain in the North from the night of July 15 to July 17. At the same time, the Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions also suffered from thunderstorms.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on the evening of July 15, a tropical depression moved into the sea from Quang Tri to Quang Nam. The strongest wind was level 6 (39-49km/h), gusting to level 8.; moving west northwest at 10-15km/h.

Tonight, the above pattern gradually weakens into a low pressure area and then moves deep into the Central Central region. At 7:00 a.m. on July 16, the center of the low pressure area was over southern Laos with the strongest wind speed below level 6.

From the afternoon of July 15 to the afternoon of July 17, thunderstorms are forecast to appear throughout the delta and coastal areas of the North, Hoa Binh, from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri. The total rainfall in the next two days is generally 60-120mm, with some places over 200mm.

During the same period, the Central Highlands suffered widespread rainfall of 40-80mm, with local heavy rains of over 150mm, concentrated in the afternoon and at night.

In addition, on the night of July 15 and July 16, the area from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai and the South will experience showers and thunderstorms with an amount of 15-30mm, with some places experiencing heavy rain of over 80mm.

At sea, offshore areas from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai have showers and thunderstorms. Strong winds level 6, gusting to level 8. Waves 1.5-3m high, rough seas.

The sea area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau, the South East Sea area (including the sea area of ​​Truong Sa archipelago) has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8-9. Waves are 2-4m high, rough seas.

The Gulf of Tonkin has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6. Waves are 1.5-2.5m high, rough seas.
