The election day of June 2 was considered the most closely watched in history, in regards to the field in Gómez Palacio, since it was assured that there were irregularities and inconsistencies; such as the purchase of votes, which were identified and resolved immediately, which led to a devastating victory for Alejandro Mata Valadez, who was a candidate for District 10 in Gómez Palacio.
According to the electoral organizations, the results obtained show a trend as a virtual winner, with more than 50 percent acceptance for Alejandro Mata.
In a press conference, the now virtual deputy-elect thanked the Morena delegate in Durango, Jonathan Jardines, for his hard work in the state and as well as his campaign coordinator, Omar Mata.
“On the journey, as in the battles, we had to interact with many people, meet wonderful human beings who now make up a great family that is Morena, we are going to have a prepared President, who is going to take Mexico forward, putting Mexico at the center of decisions to human beings, but above all to those who need it most,” said Mata Valadez.
He assured that Morena’s success is due to the fact that the people are happy and invested in the process because they realized that for the first time in history they can govern differently.
“The milk is also boiling on this side, and if they had not bought votes, they would have had nothing, and your servant would have obtained 70 percent in the district; thank the people for the displays of love, their support and trust, tell them that they are going to count on us,” he said.
