The measure, announced by the Ministry of Transport of Buenos Aires, occurs due to the problem that the National Road Safety Agency is experiencing due to the lack of plastic for the renewal of the driving license. Therefore circulation will be permitted with the renewal process and with the digital license.
To comply with this measure, drivers will need to have the “My Argentina” application, where the digital license and/or approved conversion certificate is located. Likewise, the Ministry of Transport of the province of Buenos Aires has specified that this resolution will remain in force until January 31 and has specified that “it will have the possibility of being extended if necessary”.
The provision, already notified to the 135 districts of Buenos Aires, is due to the conflict that the National Road Safety Agency (ANSV) is having with the supplier of these materials. Thus, to avoid delays for motorists who need to renew their registration, the use of the certificate accompanied by the digital app is promoted.
