The Donald Trump-Joe Biden match should take place in the presidential elections in November. All observers thought that the news would be confirmed during Super Tuesday on March 5. The favorites of both camps won their respective primaries hands down and will certainly be nominated by their party. There was no suspense: Donald Trump’s triumph was overwhelming. He completely marginalizes Nikki Haley who only obtains 89 delegates. Joe Biden is well ahead with 1,492 delegates. If we refer to the figures, there are no more surprises to expect: the “ remake » of the presidential election four years ago will take place.

We knew that Donald Trump was on the rise. He confirmed it resoundingly during Super Tuesday on March 5. It’s a real tidal wave that makes him the favorite for his party’s nomination. It now has 980 delegates. He should easily reach the 1,215 delegates needed by mid-March in California. Her rival, Nikki Haley, is far behind. She, who had insisted that she wanted to offer a credible alternative to the former tenant of the White House, decided not to speak publicly. It is a real boulevard which is opening up in front of Trump. But he will soon have to face American justice because criminal trials await him. His supporters do not believe these are serious obstacles on the road to his inauguration. However, the risk of seeing the Supreme Court pronounce his ineligibility cannot be excluded. A significant part of American public opinion has not forgotten all its past escapades and excesses. His opponents like to recall the assault by his supporters against the Capitol four years ago. His popularity is, however, real and he has every chance of returning to power in November. He is doing everything to discredit Joe Biden who can nevertheless boast of having an excellent economic record and who has also made the fight against immigration one of his hobby horses. Voters in the Democratic camp are lining up behind him despite some reluctance. Some of them admit that they would have liked to have a younger candidate (78 years old). The path is now paved for a face-to-face between the two rivals of four years ago.
