Tournament Sagadat batyr open was held in Almaty

The annual international tournament in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and grappling AIGA – Sagadat batyr open, dedicated to the International Day against Drug Addiction and Illicit Drug Trafficking, was held in Almaty, Liter.kz reports.

According to the press service of the AMANAT party, the tournament was organized by the sports club named after Sagadat Nurmagambetov with the support of the youth association “Alatau Zhastary”, the maslikhat of the Almaty region and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The main goal of the tournament is to popularize this sport and promote a healthy lifestyle.

During the event, the president of the sports club named after Sagadat Nurmagambetov, Erbolat Turumbetov, made a welcoming speech. He spoke about the importance of holding this annual tournament, designed to attract young people to play sports.

Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Amirkhanov, during his speech, said that the country is actively working to combat drug addiction, and involving children in physical exercise and sports plays an important role in the fight against bad habits. He also conveyed congratulations on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Tourism and Sports. According to them, events of this kind not only contribute to the physical and spiritual development of our citizens, but also serve as an example of a healthy lifestyle for all generations.

“The tournament was held at a very high level. I am very pleased with the performances of our guys. The first two places were won by my students – athletes from the Samat Ramazanov Academy and the Sagadat Nurmagambetov Club. I am proud of him, I always share my skills and experience. In many competitions, my students demonstrate high results and worthily defend the honor of our country on the world stage. To all the fighters and grapplers who did not become winners, I want to say: do not despair! You still have everything ahead. Your participation and efforts in themselves deserve respect. Believe in yourself and keep moving towards your goals!” – said the chairman of the youth organization “Alatau Zhastary” and the main organizer Nursultan Orynbasarov.

He also expressed special gratitude to representatives of the AMANAT party, the youth wing of “Zhastar Rukhy”, district and regional akimats, partners, veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, deputies of district and regional maslikhats, bloggers and all parents for their active participation.

“I sincerely congratulate you on today’s important sporting event. I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers for their efforts in creating a drug-free society and promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people. The AMANAT Party and “Zhastar Rukhy” always support such initiatives. Let our youth worthily represent our country at international competitions,” said Akerke Iskanderova, chairman of the Zhastar Rukhy youth wing of the AMANAT party.

The guests of the holiday were deputies, athletes, representatives of youth organizations, regional and district akimats, veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and others. In total, more than 300 young athletes aged from 4 to 15 years took part in the competition – they represented teams from different regions of the country, as well as neighboring countries. Among them were also pupils of the Almaty regional orphanage No. 1.

All winners and teams that won places received certificates, special medals, cash prizes and valuable gifts from partners.
