Tough competition for submarines

Greece and Turkey both have been trying for the last year to approach each other, but with facts on the table, such as the casus beli and the Turkish revisionist doctrines, such as the “Blue Homeland”, something like this is progressing with very slow steps. The fact that Turkey is running a series of domestic armament programs creates – and justifiably – several reservations in Athens. It is no coincidence that the Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias’ last reference to Turkey, from which the “bad time” will come, as he characteristically said. “If we don’t realize that we have to be at an amazingly good level, we won’t succeed. And we all have a great responsibility towards this” he had added while addressing the Parliament.
