Leapmotor, which has Chinese roots but is largely controlled by Stellantis, has started production of its T03 model in Poland. The production has only started in a small series, full-scale production can start in September, at least this is what the company announced at an event, according to the investment bank Jeffries. Stellantis bought a stake in the Leapmotor company earlier in order to bring its electric cars to Europe.

The T03 model, which has just started production, is a 3.6-meter-long four-seater small car that can be a serious competitor to the Dacia Spring. The planned European price of the car will be below 10 million forints and its interior looks much better put together and more mature than the Dacia Spring. The Chinese version of the T03 has a 95 horsepower electric motor and a 36 kWh battery, which in theory guarantees a range of 280 kilometers for the small car. The European distribution of the Leapmotor T03 will theoretically start this year.
