To improve the employability of young people

The JMTC (Competent Malagasy Youth at Work) project was able to train 28 managers from nine vocational training establishments and five partner organizations, including relevant ministerial departments, in strategic and concerted management. “This is a training course carried out in 3 stages in Madagascar and Canada for a total duration of 24 months. It is rare that general directors of training establishments, principals and rectors of technical high schools and many other leaders come together for training to share their experiences. This is unheard of ! The objective of the JMCT project is to increase the integration rate of young people and improve their training and employability”mentioned Patrick Razakamananifidiny, Canadian expert trainer in strategic and concerted management during the closing of this project yesterday at the Colbert Hotel.

Consultation table

« Our mission is to bring together these leaders of training establishments while connecting them with the private sector that provides jobs, for a better match between training and employment. “, he continued. At the end of these training courses, training establishments are thus equipped with a tool allowing them to develop a strategy allowing their young students to be able to apply their theoretical knowledge. The construction, tourism-hospitality and catering sectors as well as entrepreneurship are targeted. “The expected results were exceeded beyond our expectations given that these 28 participants who were certified by the JMCT project have already committed to setting up a consultation table for the sustainability of their actions”he continued. “This demonstrates that governance is at the heart of the project given that the strategic plans will contribute to the organizational effectiveness of training establishments with their various partners”, underlined, for his part, the director of the local project, Luc Rakotondrajaona. It should be noted that this JMCT project is funded by Global Affairs Canada, the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie.
