Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has extended the last date to apply for direct recruitment of Assistant Professors in Tamil Nadu Collegiate Educational Service. Candidates can submit their forms by visiting the official website trb.tn.gov.in. Now candidates can submit the application form till 15th May at 5 pm. Earlier the last date for application was set as April 29. This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 4000 Assistant Professor vacancies in Government Arts, Science and Education colleges of Tamil Nadu. Selection will be like this
Selection of candidates for this post will be done through written examination and interview. The tentative date of the written examination is said to be August 4, while the candidates who are successful in the written examination will be interviewed. Its date will be announced later.
This is the exam pattern
The written examination consists of two papers of 200 marks. The first paper is of 100 marks, which will have two parts. The second paper also has two parts. After this, an interview round will be organized, on which 30 marks are allotted. Open-category candidates need at least 40 percent marks to qualify the exam, whereas for other categories, the minimum marks required are 30 percent.
