When the body lacks fluids, the skin will become dry and dull. This is of course something to worry about, especially for women. For this reason, during the month of Ramadan, your skin may need additional care to keep it healthy and glowing.
Aesthetic Practitioner Dr. Nataliani Mawardi, Dipl. CIBTAC said that keeping facial skin bright and radiant during Ramadan must start from maintaining a healthy diet.
“At dawn and breaking the fast, you must definitely consume nutritious food. “Consume lots of vegetables and fruit to add vitamins to the body,” said Dr. Nataliani at the NgabubuTreat Cantik event in Jakarta, recently.
Doctor Nataliani added, make sure you also reduce your consumption of dry food and increase food that contains high water content.
“Try to eat foods that are juicy and not dry,” he said.
Meanwhile, for sweet ones, he continued, try not to rely on sugar. However, it can be replaced with sweetness from real fruit which is a smart choice when fasting, and can provide quite good energy and not cause a lot of implantation.
“Sweet foods can be made with dates. Don’t consume white sugar because it can cause aging, inflammation, and sometimes glucose aging will accelerate. You can eat sweets but you can eat real fruit. Eating sweet fruit can increase energy, but does not cause inflammation. “Young coconut water is also good,” he explained.
And the most important thing is to consume at least 8 glasses of water a day. The water can be divided into two parts, namely at dawn and breaking the fast, four glasses each, so that fluid needs are still met.
“Make sure you drink enough water to avoid dehydration. “Because if you are dehydrated, your skin will become dry and dull,” he concluded.
