Woods’ beliefs
Historically, there have been 5 people who have won all 4 Major events: Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tiger Woods.
Tiger Woods is the only person currently competing in The Masters 2024.
Woods is 48 years old and his body is full of surgical wounds. The latest surgery on his right ankle after having to leave The Masters 2023, and since then “Super Tiger” has only competed in the Hero World Challenge last December (18th place), as well as Genesis in February (withdrew due to illness).
Regardless, Woods still dreams that he can win another Masters championship.
“If everything goes well, I think I can win another trophy,” Woods said optimistically last Tuesday.
Woods appeared at Augusta without his Nike uniform, after ending a 27-year alliance and $500 million for him personally.
Since The Masters, Woods wears his own new uniform, with a tiger logo with 15 stripes (symbolizing 15 Major titles).

On a course of 7,555 yards (6,908 m) and Par 72, Woods sought a record of 24 overs made in the tournament, one more than Gary Player and Fred Couples.
Woods is currently ranked 959th in the world. However, the man who held the green shirt five times is still the biggest legend in golf.
“My practice sessions are no longer the same. I spend all day on the practice range and play short matches. I want to continue playing, The Masters means a lot to me and my family,” Woods said.
Since the traffic accident that nearly lost his right leg in February 2021, Woods has appeared in fewer tournaments. Even the modest goal of playing one PGA Tour event a month is no longer realistic.
However, “Super Tiger” decided to resist reality: “I like to compete. I started playing golf when I was 9 months old and participated in my first tournament when I was 5 years old. Everything I have is thanks to golf.”
