Before attending the French tournament, Thuy Linh was in good form when she reached the final of the 2024 German Open. Therefore, fans expect the No. 1 player in Vietnam to go deep into the tournament to “hunt” for bonus points and money. . However that did not happen.
In the opening match, Nguyen Thuy Linh was rated higher than Wen Chi Hsu (ranked 22nd in the world compared to 27th). The Vietnamese tennis player had beaten his opponent in both previous encounters.
