Three students injured in Jessore youth gang attack – 2024-06-06 21:06:03

Three students were injured in an attack by a gang of teenagers on the Jessore Zilla School campus. This incident happened on Tuesday (June 4) around 1.30 pm.

The injured are Shihab Ahmed, class 10 student of Zilla School, Rafi Chowdhury and Sabuj Hossain, class 10 student of Badsha Faisal School.

Rafi Chowdhury, an injured student of the district school, said that their examination is going on in the district school. When they came in front of the school around 1:30 after the exam, 7/8 unknown persons attacked them. During this time they stab each other. He and Shihab were injured along with some others.

Injured school student Shihab said that on Monday afternoon, 3-4 people including the younger brother of Tahsin, the youth gang leader of Mollapara area, were smoking cigarettes in the school campus. At this time Shihab and his classmates protested. After this incident, on Tuesday when Shihab and Rafi came out for class 10 pre-test economics examination, 3-4 juvenile gang members stabbed them and injured them. When he tried to stop it, he was injured by the stabbing of the green. Later, with the help of teachers, the three injured from both sides were admitted to Jessore 250-bed General Hospital.

In this regard, District School Headmaster Shoaib Hossain said that three students were injured in the attack by outside students due to prior enmity over smoking. The matter has been reported to the police station.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jessore Kotwali Model Police Station Abdur Razzak said that three school students were injured in stabbing. Legal action in this regard is under process.
