Three Malagasy students are among the young talents selected this year to integrate the prestigious World Training Program with Digital Technologies “Seeds for the Future”, organized by the Chinese giant Huawei. The 2025 edition takes place from July 21 to 26 in Dongguan, in southern China.
IELSA Irinah Miarina and Miora Randrianasy, both students in Misa Ankatso, as well as Sitraka Rafanomezantsoa of ESPA VONTOVORONA, represent Madagascar in this program considered to be one of the most prestigious in ICT training on a global scale. Their selection was validated after several rigorous stages, with the participation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
An immersion in the heart of advanced technologies
For a week, participants from various countries will follow an intensive program mixing theoretical and practical learning. More than 40 specialized modules are on the program, especially on 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and digital energy. Guided tours of research centers and technological installations of Huawei and DJI are also planned.
Beyond the technical dimension, the program includes leadership training, employment preparation workshops (CV writing, simulated interviews) and meetings with global experts in the sector. A round table dedicated to entrepreneurship in artificial intelligence is also at the agenda.
International influence and bilateral cooperation
Since its launch in 2008, “Seeds for the Future” has trained more than 15,000 students in 139 countries. Madagascar has participated since 2021, with more than 90 beneficiaries to date. Huawei and the Ministry of Higher Education actively collaborate to make this initiative a lever for the development of Malagasy digital skills.
