Born together, raised together. Studied primary, secondary and higher secondary in the same institution. In all cases the results of all three are the same. The three twin brothers got the opportunity to study medicine. But in a different institution.
The three twin brothers are Mofiul Hasan, Shafiul Islam and Rafiul Hasan. Mofiul Hasan got a chance at Suhrawardy Medical College in Dhaka last year and is studying there. This year Shafiul Islam Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College and Rafiul Hasan Noakhali Abdul Malek Medical College have been nominated for admission.
Tara is the son of deceased school teacher Golam Mostafa of Bathuabari village of Dhunat upazila of Bogra. He lost his father when he was only six years old. Since then, mother Arjina Begum has cultivated the agricultural land and educated the boys. Mother Argina even sold about four bigha of land to ensure their good education.
Twin A three brothers passed SSC in 2020 from Dhunat Govt. Naeem Uddin Pilot High School with GPA-5. After that he passed HSC from Govt Shah Sultal College Bogra in 2022 with GP A 5. Not only the village of Bathuari, but the whole upazila is like a wave of joy due to the incredible success of the three fatherless twins.
On Monday (February 12) afternoon, I went to Bathuabari village and talked with Arjina Begum, the pregnant mother of the twins. You could see how happy he was with the success of the boys.
Arjina Begum said that her husband Golam Mostafa was a teacher of Matpara girls high school. He died in 2009. After the death of her husband, she fell ill with three sons and a daughter. Later, many people thoughtfully put their husband’s land as pledge and focus on their sons’ education. Daughter Moushumi is studying for graduation in Govt Azizul Haque College Bogra.
Arjina Begum said, ‘My land has not ended, but I have given orphan boys and girls on the road to become human beings. However, the mother of Ratnagarbha is haunted by the thought of how to marry off her daughter Moushumi and how to bear the education expenses of her three twin sons in a world of poverty.
