The Group of Seven (G7) of the world’s leading industrial countries on Friday discussed issues such as migration as well as the Indo-Pacific and economic security on the second day of the three-day summit in the southern Italian region of Apulia. During the summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a session focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), energy, Africa and the Mediterranean region. Modi arrived in Italy on his first foreign trip after taking oath as Prime Minister for the third term, where he was welcomed by Indian Ambassador Vani Rao. He will hold bilateral meetings with world leaders before the traditional ‘photo’ of the G7. PM Modi met French President Macron, Ukrainian President Zelensky, UK PM Rishi Sunak on the sidelines of the G7 summit.
