Three after-school cars go up in flames

Four cars went up in flames on Korze Street in Veldhoven on Saturday night. The fire probably started in a car that was on a trailer and from there it would have spread to the cars next to it.

“I heard several shots last night,” says one of the residents of the area. “That woke me up.” Three burned cars belonged to an out-of-school care center (BSO). The fourth car, where the fire started, did not belong to the out-of-school care facility.

Several remains of fireworks were discovered in the area. It is being investigated whether the fire was caused by these fireworks. On Sunday morning, police announced they were not taking him for granted.

“The semi-trailer had been there for a while.”
On Sunday morning, many people from the neighborhood came out of curiosity to take a look at the burned cars. The owner of the car that was on the trailer came to collect it. According to people in the area, the trailer with the car had been there for a while.

The nursery’s damaged cars were taken away by a towing company.

“Fewer fireworks than last year”
According to residents there are no major problems related to fireworks in the area. “It’s even lower than last year,” says one woman.
