This village is also returned to Azerbaijan – 2024-07-22 16:22:52 – 2024-07-22 16:22:53

The authorities in Armenia are preparing to return the village of Kerki to Azerbaijan.

Publika.az reports that “Fakt” website wrote about this.

The site notes that the Cadastre Comte of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia took Armenians living in this village to “temporary registration”.

“These days, the Cadastre Committee of the Ministry of Justice released a statement that it issued a legal registration certificate to the residents of Kirants (Tavush village). The statement reads: “It should be stated that the state registration of relevant rights was carried out on the basis of inaccurate information. Since these registrations are based on inaccuracy, it cannot be a legal basis to claim that the mentioned territories are considered part of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.

This is actually the justification for handing over those territories to Azerbaijan. Experts believe that the authorities can justify the transfer of other territories to Azerbaijan in this way in the future. Considering that Nikol Pashinyan declared that the “villages of Tigranashen (Karki) and Tavushun” (Qazakh’s villages: 4 returned, 3 enclaves remain – ed.) are not included in the 29,800 square kilometers (later stated to be 29,743) territory of Armenia, then , the same certificates were issued by the Cadastre Committee to residents of Tigranashen (Karki) “on the basis of inaccurate information”.

At the next stage of demarcation, the residents here will be told that their documents are not valid, so leave their homes,” the site writes.
