A faulty update to the CrowdStrike computer security platform is the cause of the failure in Microsoft systems which has affected companies around the world.

The company has admitted that a bug in an update to its CrowdStrike Falcon platform, one of the protection systems of Windows, has caused chaos, and He assures that he is already working to reverse these changes..

According to computer experts who spoke to EFE, the latest update to Falcon drivers contained errors; Azure immediately crashed, the cloud computing platform created by Microsoft to build, test, deploy and manage applications and services using its global infrastructure.

This led to the appearance of the blue screensknown as “death messages”, which showed around the world that systems had stopped working, and that servers had to be restarted.

CrowdStrike suggests deleting a sys file – Windows system files – but this does not guarantee the recovery of all functions, since, as experts explained to EFE, all the servers in a company are connected to each other, so even if one “gets up” the rest may not work.

Additionally, CrowdStrike’s own servers are down, making it impossible to know for sure when affected systems will be back up and running.
