In January of this year, a 76-year-old specialist was diagnosed with terminal cancer. “I know that at best I have about a year and at worst less time,” he said.
“Sampdoria” tried not to leave the legendary coach alone in his difficult days. For this purpose, the Swedish specialist was invited to play with “Rejjiana”. Before the match, he was warmly welcomed by the Swedish fans and the former players of “Sampdoria”, coached by Eriksson. The meeting was very effective. However, Sven-Goran was satisfied with what happened: “Before the game, it was very nice, I cried. I will carry these memories with me until the end of my life.”
