This is how the Vallenato parish lives on Palm Sunday

The smell of incense and incense led the path of the faithful towards each of the religious temples of Valledupar. This Palm Sunday, the day that marks the beginning of Holy Week, the Catholic faithful experienced the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, with a heart full of hope and deepening the transformation that God expects of every human being.

From 5:30 in the morning the churches opened their doors, the faithful came to witness the Eucharist. Family prayer predominated over all things, prayers were present and prayers for a better future were what characterized the parishioners this Palm Sunday.

With a palm in their hand, as a symbol of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, each priest began the Eucharist. As he passed by, they blessed the branches that the faithful raised with faith as a sign of devotion. Receiving holy water is the symbol of a new beginning, of a transformation.

In the Nuestra Señora de la Concepción Church the Eucharists continue at 5:00 in the afternoon and 7:00 at night. At 6:00 in the afternoon, Priest Iver de La Cruz will preside over the mass at the Ecce Homo Cathedral.
