According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), annual general inflation was 4.78%, in comparison, in the same fortnight last year, annual general inflation was 6%. Furthermore, in the first fortnight of May 2024, the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) decreased 0.21% compared to the previous fortnight.
According to the National Information and Market Integration System (SNIIM), for the period from May 20 to 24, the wholesale centers of Xalapa were those that registered the highest prices in all price categories for the kilo of white eggs. For wholesale, the usual price was $60 pesos; The minimum price was $55 pesos, while the maximum price reached $70 pesos.
