A new activity is being prepared by Pro-Neurogenic Childhood (APIN) to raise funds and continue supporting children with spina bifida and offer them a better quality of life.
This is a hamburger sale that is prepared for this Sunday, April 14, at the association’s facilities, located at José Vasconcelos 1175 in the La Merced II neighborhood, in Torreón.
The appointment will be from 12:00 to 15:00, but ticket sales are now available at the APIN offices.
The cost is 60 pesos and includes the hamburger with a soft drink, support that will make the difference between children with spina bifida.
Throughout the year, bazaars have been held every last Sunday of the month, with the intention of raising funds to continue the mission.
As reported, for 32 years, APIN, founded by Miguel Chong López, has treated almost a hundred children with spina bifida and the complications it generates.
The objective is to provide an improved quality of life to these children, who until more than three decades ago, were destined to die.
Today, according to its founder, this condition can be prevented with the consumption of folic acid at least six months before pregnancy and during the first three months of pregnancy.
