They will carry out Recycling in Las Auras Park

Within the framework of World Environment Day, the Government of the State of Durango, through the Secretariat of Natural Resources and Environment (SRNMA), will carry out the “Recyclatón” in the Laguna region, on Saturday the 15th and Monday the 17th. June, to collect disused electronic devices, as well as dead files and give them a final destination in accordance with the Official Mexican Standards.

In this regard, the Undersecretary of the Environment in the Laguna de Durango region, Jesús Martínez Martínez, highlighted that this “Recyclethon” has the purpose of helping families, schools, offices and citizens in general get rid of electronic devices that they no longer use or do not work and of papers, notebooks, folders, dead files, to give them a final destination in accordance with regulations.

“Unfortunately, it is common that people, unaware of how polluting electronic devices can be for aquifers and the environment, tend to throw them in the trash or give them to someone to take from home, without knowing what they will end up with. to the Nazas River, for example. Here we give them the best option, they bring us their electronic waste, paper, batteries and expired medicine and the secretariat is in charge of taking them to their final destination, complying with environmental regulations” explained the official.

The activity will take place on Saturday, June 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and on Monday, June 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the facilities of the undersecretariat, located on Miguel Boulevard. German number 400, within the “Las Auras” Ecological Park and Nursery.
