They verify works in the third section of the Bioceanic Corridor

The Minister of Public Works, Claudia Centurión, and her technical team began this Wednesday the inspection of the first works being carried out in the third section of the Bioceanic Corridor.

The day began at the historic Picada 500 point, where the minister detailed this ambitious project in progress. “The machines and personnel are already active carrying out preliminary and cleaning work,” Centurión reported.

He highlighted that the initial section, from Carmelo Peralta to Loma Plata, has already been completed. “Today we begin the third section that goes from Picada 500 to Pozo Hondo,” he noted.

Regarding the environmental impact, Centurión praised the work of the Socio-Environmental Management Directorate of the MOPC, ensuring that all environmental and social regulations are met, in close collaboration with the MADES (Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development) and respecting the communities, indigenous peoples, flora and fauna of Chaco.

Engineer Alfredo Sánchez from the UEP-FONPLATA described it as historic to witness the activity of the machines, particularly at km 102, the starting point of the corridor.

Regarding the contractual deadlines, 6 months were established for the preparation of the project, followed by 24 months for construction and 8 years for maintenance.
