The Valledupar Metropolitan Police has arranged a security device with more than 700 uniformed personnel who will be deployed throughout the territory to guarantee the tranquility and normal development of the cultural, sporting and religious events scheduled for this festive long weekend.
The activities will be accompanied by specialties such as the Childhood and Adolescence Police, Tourism and National Heritage, the Carabineros and Environmental Protection Section, the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Section, the Gaula Police, the Community Police, the Purple Patrol, the GOES Group and personnel from the New Model of the Police Service.
Lieutenant Colonel Hernán Mauricio Torres, commander in charge of the Valledupar Metropolitan Police, pointed out that these security devices seek to provide confidence and prevent any alteration of public order.
“We are committed to the safety of all citizens and visitors. Therefore, we have designed a comprehensive support plan that allows the safe development of each of the scheduled events,” said the officer.
Among the events that will have special accompaniment are the traditional festivals in the town of Atánquez, the festivities in the Doce de Octubre neighborhood, the Valledupar Half Marathon, the Meeting of Motorcycle Clubs and the soccer match between Alianza FC and Junior de Barranquilla.
