They recover the body of a Mexican after a bridge collapse in Baltimore

The authorities found this Wednesday the lifeless bodies of two of the six workers presumed dead when a bridge in Baltimore (Maryland, USA) collapsed after the attack of a freighter that lost control.

The victims are the Mexican Alejandro Fernández Fuentes, 35, and the Guatemalan Dorlián Castillo Cabrera, 26, the Maryland Police announced at a press conference.

State Police Chief Roland Butler explained that the bodies were found inside a red truck underwater. The relatives of both victims have already been informed of the discovery of the remains.

Both were part of the group of eight construction workers filling potholes on the Francis Scott Key Bridge early Tuesday morning when the Dali ship hit the infrastructure.

Two of them were rescued alive, while the other six are presumed dead. Alejandro Fernández Fuentes and Dorlián Castillo Cabrera are the first bodies recovered.

The six fatalities are two Mexicans, two Guatemalans, one Salvadoran and one Honduran.

Before the collision, the container ship crew issued an emergency warningwhich made it possible to cut off vehicle circulation on the bridge and avoid a major tragedy, according to authorities.
