At a press conference, the virtual president-elect announced the second part of officials who are joining her team and ratified Rogelio Ramírez de la O as Secretary of the Treasury. The people who join her team are:

Light Elena Gonzalez Escobar He has already worked with Claudia Sheinbaum when she was head of the Government of Mexico City, since she served as Finance Secretary from where, the virtual president-elect stated, “it helped her a lot.” She will now be in charge of the Ministry of Energy.
González Escobar is an economist from UNAM, a Master of Law from the Technological University in tax law and has a master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Catalonia, she is a graduate of the Leadership for Sustainable Development program at the College of Mexico, and she also has a diploma in Sustainable Development from the Universidad Iberoamericana and various studies on various topics related to the environment.
“She knows about energy issues. She helped us a lot in the government of Mexico City as Secretary of Finance, which is also an important issue in the coordination of the Ministry of Energy with Pemex, with CFE, and she helped coordinate the photovoltaic panel project at the Central de Abasto,” Sheinbaum said.

Claudia Sheinbaum chose the surgeon David Kershenobich as his Health Secretary. The president-elect highlighted that the person who will be her official has a specialty in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology from the UNAM and has a doctorate in Medicine from the University of London and an Honoris Causa doctorate from the highest house of studies.
Kershenobich participated in the dialogue group for transformation, coordinating the right to health axis. During his career, David Kershenobich was at the head of the “Salvador Zubirán” National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition, from June 2012 to 2022.

Rachel Buenrostrocurrent Secretary of the Economy under Andrés Manuel López Obrador, will serve as head of the Secretariat of Public Function in the government of Claudia Sheinbaum, as announced by the virtual president-elect.
Buenrostro has a degree in Mathematics from UNAM and a Master’s degree in Economics from Colegio de México. She has more than 28 years of experience in public administration. Before heading the Ministry of Economy under López Obrador, she was in charge of the Tax Administration Service (SAT).
“She is an incorruptible woman, everyone in the cabinet, but particularly her, is a woman who has performed in an outstanding manner in the place where she has been,” Sheinbaum said.

Jesus Antonio Esteva Medina has worked with Claudia Sheinbaum since she was head of the Government of Mexico City, where they developed various works of which the virtual president-elect said she was “very proud.” In her cabinet in the Presidency, Esteva Medina will be in charge of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport.
Esteva Medina is a civil engineer and master in Structures from UNAM and since 2018 he has served as Secretary of Works in Mexico City. The virtual president-elect highlighted that the official has a “very extensive” resume in public service.
“We have had time to know each other since the engineering graduate school, but I learned about his career, honesty and professionalism when he helped us in the construction of the Second Floor of Periférico,” commented Sheinbaum.

Edna Elena Vega Rangel will assume ownership of the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu) with Claudia Sheinbaum. She has a degree in Sociology with a specialty in Urban Sociology from the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM); In addition, she has a master’s degree in Metropolitan Planning and a doctorate in Sociology with a specialty in Society and Territory.
Vega Rangel is currently undersecretary of Sedatu, a position she has held since June 2022 and in which she will remain until the end of López Obrador’s term, as confirmed by Sheinbaum.
“She knows Sedatu, she is currently undersecretary and she will also have her position at Sedatu, in coordination with the person who will be in charge of Infonavit, one of the most important priority programs of our government, which is the construction of one million homes with the central axis of access to housing as a right,” said Sheinbaum.
